Hillborough, best years of my schooling, and only one year left at school now , it only felt like yesterday when i was having fun in what the school used to look like., its changed alot! lol but i have work experience in hillborough in three weeks , im nervous about the differences and the new teachers but im soo soo happy to be going back to hillborough (I even if it is just for a while )

I have 10 toy rabbits after having a real one. My grandaughter bought me one, my wife bought me another, Mrs Griffin bought me one so did Miss Floyd and Miss Conway. I got another one from the staff secret santa at Christmas and the rest were all bought me by nice children I have taught. That makes the 10. I think I've probably got enough now.

Hi!

Wow, I can't believe that it has already been three years since I left Hillborough. I only really ended up on here because of nostalgia. Has anyone been watching "Britain’s got Talent"? Susan Boyle's performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Mis brought up so many memories of my life as a student at the school. Infact, Rhona French (another ex-student and still a best friend of mine) and myself were at a friends laser tag party last night and were surrounded by the opposite team and knew that we were going down so we just started singing "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Memory" from Cats. Oh well, everyone knew we were mad anyway!

(Smiling and waiting to be committed ;-P )

Anyway, enough of my rambling and a wish of good luck to all students at Hillborough. It's near impossible to find a better and more supportive staff than you are currently blessed with. Although you may not realize it now, your teachers will influence a lot of your later life. Thanks to Mrs Howes I am a huge fan of musicals (particularly Andrew Lloyd Webber) and Mr O'Donnell has evoked an interest within me concerning the World Wars, so I have consequently chosen to take History as one of my GCSE options which entails two years of World War One and Two.

Have fun and enjoy your primary school life.

Finally I found the site! Year 7 is going well-ish, but some of my teachers can't control the class, place me next to VERY ANNOYING people, or are just sooooooo boring. Missing everyone loads. Greetings from Hastings!!! It seems impossible that I've been living here for over a year and am about to complete my first year's teaching at Claremont - yes term finishes for us tomorrow and then it's two months off!! At the moment I'm stuck in the ICT Suite covering a Year Five lesson. The highlight of the year has oddly enough been out of school when I was lucky enough to watch the filming of the last ever episode of Foyle's War and meet Anthony Horowitz into the bargain - I'm now a fan of the Alex Rider books. Anyway, hope all is well at Hillborough and happy holiday when it comes.

Hello!!! I left a message recently but it hasn't been posted yet, maybe because it has been half term? I don't know. Anyway, I've left 6th form now, only have to go back for my A-level exams next week then I will enter the scary adult world of work!!!

Hillborough years were the best of my life! I have an abundance of memories with my friends Rachel Varnals, Adam Hedley (before he left us for Portsmouth), Alice Madden, Erin Kenney, Emma Wolfe, Ritesh, Farhana etc. etc. I can't believe that next year it will have been 10 years since I left . Where has the time gone?! I really regret laving in year 4 to go to Five oaks rather than just going at the end of year 6 like everyone else but Oh well, what can you do?

Mr scales, do you remember me? I hope you still have that autograph that I gave you from my uncle (Hank Marvin) haha.

I was also just looking at the photo's of the new things in the playground and I am SO jealous!! We didn't have anything like that back then! To all the children of Hillborough now, make great use of it because after hillborough you will NEVER have anything like that again haha. Also guys, make the most of every minute spent there because I really mean it when I say they are/will be the best years of your life, no worries or stress, just good times and fun!!

Anyway, this is becoming rather like an essay haha, so I will wrap it up now. Thank you hillborough for giving me wonderful memories tat I will NEVER forget!

Hello!!! Oh my word, I can't believe that It's been nearly 10 years since I left hillborough! I miss it so much, they really were the good old days!

Anyway I am in my final year of 6th form, doing my A-levels as we speak. I will be 19 in December, and that seems really old compared to the little 9 year old that left hillborough in year 4 (1997/8)!!!!!

Wow. I can't believe I actually left a whole five years ago. I dont know if anyone remembers me, (I used to be the ugly one with fuzzy hair, aha) but I'm going to copy a fellow homie of mine (Sam) and people know how I'm getting on.
I'm just starting my G.C.S.E's. Ansd im predicted pretty much A-C's. I've lost two close members of my family recently but we're all coping well. I was involved in a shakespeare festival where I played Lady Capulet, it was arranged for the Gordan craig theatre however snow caused us to divert to St Albans instead. I design logos and t-shirts for an up-coming band, I also have my own clothes line up and running. Less important things happening right now is that I have been one of the main components in raising £3,000 for our school prom. We need £500 more to reach our target. I also have my nose peirced, and I'm currently planning on getting my cheek peirced, near my temple. Aha :)

Well I wish good luck for all the staff at Hillborough who taught me and made my starting years of school such a stable one. Thank you!

I am really scared about the SATs but I hope there not going to be as hard as I think they are. All of year 6 are revising and trying thier best. I wish that we all get really good marks.

1) Last summer, I joined a drama school in London, where I've been taking weekend courses. The school holds auditions most weekends, which I've been going to, and I've been signed up with several talent spotters from various TV & movie companies
2) I've been going to the Luton Youth Drama Workshop for the past two years, and I've been in several productions with them, one of which, American Eagle, I'll be performing again (As the American Eagle) in two weeks at a youth drama competition. It would be great if some of you could come along =]

4) I just got given one of the main parts in the school Summer musical

I'm going to a place called Grenvile House and you do sailing and climbing. Oh yeah, I passed my horse jumping exam. I got I got an A on my jumping and for riding I got an A so I think I did well and some of my family were there. Well I cantered around a ring and then went out on a pub ride which is walking, trotting, cantering and even galloping so you ride to the pub for your lunch and then you ride back. Sorry for the infrequent updates. The internet cafe was closed yesterday. But here goes. Elliot Fisher is a Moose (official). He caused a pile up in one of the bubble lifts. He did redeem himself the next day but helping others and gaining the joint award of skier of the day (Not my choice!!!!!!). We had lunch in the restaurant on the mountain yesterday and Cherise was given the surprise of her life. Her uncle appearred to say hello as he was staying in a nearby resort. She has been beaming ever since. Demi is doing very well and Zach is working really hard at his skiing. The weather remains good although we are starting to get a few sick, tired children. Hopefully they will all be okay for their skiing test tomorrow (see, even at skiing we have to do tests). We do have a website set up by St. Margarets where you can get a daily update of events. You'll be pleased to know that Mr. Bradshaw has had yet another massive fall almost wiping out an entire French ski school. To make me even more embarrassed, the children ended up picking my ski's and hat up. Luckily nobody saw the actual event and I have managed to evade the dreaded moose, but the moose of the week looms!!!!! See you soon.

We have arrived all safe. First day skiing was hectic but children now getting used to the odd routine. Hillborough party have escaped the mousse hat so far. Weather brilliant, lots of snow, Hotel nice. Elliot is missing his mum (crying himself to sleep at night), Zach and Cherise are having a super time but they do miss parents. Mr Bradshaw made special fiends with a french women on his way down a black slope although she didn,t no too much about. Basically he slipped on an icy patch and slid into her and carried on sliding for the next 50 metres. Mrs Kelly is doing brilliantly having skied a short black run. I must say the children have been brilliant and are progressing very well in ski school. Look out for more exciting news on the website. Hope your all working hard, I know we are!!!!!!!!!

Well, my name is Joe, and I was a pupil at Hillborough from 1991 to 1995 - I just have a message for someone - and a word to say to the kids at Hillborough right now...

Dear Mr. O'Donnell;

If you come across this, I just want to thank you for being that one teacher in my entire school life who truly, truly inspired me from the roots up. You were the teacher that made me feel like you honestly cared - at the time, getting in trouble with you would be the worst thing that could happen to me - because I didn't ever want to dissappoint you. That's a real mentor - someone you want to please because you feel like your actions matter to them, good or bad. That was you.

You are an absolute shining credit to your profession, and should be extremely proud of who you are, every single day that you wake up and look in the mirror.

In case you're interested at all; I married an American girl whom I met through mutual friends, picked up and turned my life around, moved here to the U.S, settled down, bought a house etc... I am very happy, finally.

It may bring a brief smile to your face to know that I am now doing what I always dreamed of and fantaisized about one day doing, my wife says I'm her hero - and that's good enough for me.

Kids, if you're reading this - I dropped out of High School after getting in with a really bad crowd, the likes of which you probably can't understand at your age... I'm not talking about your wayward older brothers, I'm talking about real, textbook, bad people... I got on well, made some very good money and all that jazz - but I wasn't happy, not even close. I just want to tell you guys - don't be an idiot like I was, stay in school, stay sharp. Hi. I have just returned from my holiday in Florida. I had a great time and saw lots of cool things including (Mr. Scales, don't get too jelous ) the shuttle take off. Mr. Scales I did tell you not to be jelous but that is probably very hard. Also if you don't believe me I have a certificate to prove it, no video (my dads fault ), but a certificate. I also have pictures of the chicks, which will come in hopefully on the first day of term. Their names (if you haven't already heard) are Chirps-alot, long for Chirps and Winxter, long for Winx.

Hi, I used to be a student at Hillborough and I was very upset when I had to leave because I learned so much in the short time I was there.It really set me up for high school. For any year 6's that are worried about sats..go to booster classes ( if they are still on) concentrate in lessons and your half way there. The next half is to do your best and don't worry......count them off 1 at a time.....it will soon be over and like me you will have been at high school for nearly a year.

Great Website! Was sorry to have had to miss the ski trip this year, I really missed it. Sounds like everyone had a brilliant time as usual and the ski diary & pics look good. I hope that Daniel & I will be able to come skiing with you all again next year.

This school is the best school in the world all the new children would love it.

PLEASE can I have as many one pence and two pence coins as possible to add to the total for the Macmillan Miles Challenge? We've nearly met our target of selling a mile of liquorice but the money we will be able to donate to Macmillan is well down on last year. REMEMBER that the money we are able to raise will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Care to help them to build a Cancer Unit at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital - naturally we at Hillborough would like to give them as much help as we possibly can.

The final date for donations to this appeal is Monday, 8th July. Doug Russell from Macmillan Cancer Care will be our guest at assembly on Thursday, 11th July when we will present him with a cheque for the total amount we have raised.

Firstly, Hillborough, thank-you!
Skiing was totally wicked!
Much better than the first time around, although it was a completely different experience, and many more laughs.
I had a fantastic time, I know part of that is to do with Terrie and Lorraine, and Michael too.
Part of it was also to do with the weather, the fantastic hotel, the fact my parents weren't there, and that feeling of freedom you get from skiing down a slope you've been on before, so you can let your mind wonder, ever so slightly, so you can actually take in the magical and spectacular surroundings around you, and then Terrie crashes, and you're brought back to reality by that mouthful of snow as you fall over her.
The people on the trip will also know why it was good for me.
Sam Block, Jade(both of them), the Wilson sisters, Ryan and Gary, to name a few, thank-you.

Fairly satisfactory web site could do with a bit of fine tuning but otherwise OK.We feel that there should be a site for past pupils particulary their sporting achievements. Also it should be mentioned that our year was the Real Madrid of all the Hillborough teams and we feel that we should be honoured!!
